NEW VISA CHANGES THREAD

At a glance the changes that have occurred since the original summary are that -

Non visa entry by land or air can now be extended for 30 days for 1900 baht.
Its still the case that G7 passport holders get 30 days when entering by land whereas many other nationalities only get 15 days if they come by land border.
Authorities announced in August / September 2014 that they reserve the right to restrict the number of border runs those without visas can do. But not much evidence of this being…

Similan islands last minute deals

Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone knows if last minute deals on similan island liveaboards are possible. I know when I went to the Galapagos I paid $1400 less than those who booked from home by waiting until the last minute. We hope to go in the next few weeks and have about a week to juggle with. Is it best if we just book ahead as its high season or wait it out?

Thanks!

Declaring personal belonings?

Hi,

This link about customs in Thailand http://www.suvarnabhumiairport.com/en/1002-customs-services states that you can only bring in up to 10.000 Bath of personal belongings.
But most tourists will exceed this limit (with a smartphone, camera etc). Is this seriously the limit and if you exceed this should you declare this? And should you pay for it?

Thanks for your thoughts,
