There has been frustration expressed about the number of similar questions being asked about onward ticket complications. The idea of this thread is that it might be a one stop shop for all the common questions so in future a link might be given to it rather than having to write the same info again and again-
How do I know the info already on Thorntree about this is still current ?
The basic issues about onward tickets have changed little in the last 25 years or more. When there are any…
I will be taking my nephew on a trip to Thailand for a week, and I was curious if anyone had suggestions for itinerary items? He is an avid skateboarder and loves animals. I don't think he's much of a trekker and he will be coming from Cambodia where he will have done Angkor Wat with his family, so no need to include ruins. I know he wants to do 'Flight of thee Gibbon' zip lining out of Bangkok, and I am looking for some more activities. I think a good day or two in a national park to see…
Hi, I'm flying to Phuket for 2 weeks 8th October 2017 alone. And I'd like to travel around, maybe 3/4 places in that time. Any advice, places & best route to take would be greatly appreciated :) new to all this
We are considering going to Thailand and would like to find places that are unspoilt. We like beaches, local food, markets, train travel and wildlife. Can people please recommend areas and places which are not touristy, full of bars and noise! Thank you
Hope you all are doing great !!

Im writing in my and my friends name - we are two young girls (im 19 and my best friend is 18) travelling to thailand in 2 days and naturally we want to act respectful, stay safe, see as much as we can and, of course, enjoy our Thailand adventure so we have some questions that will help us prepare as much as we can.

A friend and I (late twenties) are travelling to Thailand in July. We are doing two nights in Bangkok and then flying down to Surat Thani airport. I am just wondering
1. What island is best to do first- Koh samui>Koh phangan > Ko Tao or would it be better to do it the other way round as we are flying out of Surat Thani to Chiang mai
2.What is the best way to get to the islands from Surat Thani airport
3. How long should we spend in each. We have 7 nights to do the Islands in total
Hi all, hoping you can offer some hints, tips and advice.
My wife and I are spending 2 weeks in Thailand from Jan 26to Feb 10

The last leg of our trip is in Koh Lanta (5th - 9th Feb) before flying back to Bangkok for one night before flying home.
My question is, where to go…
