Kanchanaburi is a festive, prosperous town and people eat out a lot. Th Saengchuto near the River Kwai Hotel is packed with inexpensive restaurants catering mostly to a local clientele. Don't miss the night market , near the bus station, which has the best hãwy thâwt (fried mussels in an egg batter) in Thailand.
