There has been frustration expressed about the number of similar questions being asked about onward ticket complications. The idea of this thread is that it might be a one stop shop for all the common questions so in future a link might be given to it rather than having to write the same info again and again-
How do I know the info already on Thorntree about this is still current ?
The basic issues about onward tickets have changed little in the last 25 years or more. When there are any…
If I want to make sure that I have not been accused of any crimes in Thailand, how would I go about in doing so? Will the police actually tell me if they want to arrest me?
My Googling has been unhelpful, so thank you very much if you can help.
Intending to travel Thailand and some nearby countries in August for 2 months. We would like to take a half of our trip in beaches. We know August is in summer and the popular beaches are often crowed but still want to find some nice and tranquil beaches there. Could anyone give us some suggestions? Thanks a lot.
Hi, Im travelling to Bangkok, Ao Nang and a few days on Ko Kradran in December 17 with my girlfriend. She is allergic to chilli and peppers (the red/green peppers and cayenne pepper not to the ground black pepper). Just to give a sense of severity, she isn't severely allergic (i.e. hospitalised/ risk of death), but sufficiently allergic to swell up/ vomit and generally make her holiday unpleasant.
We have always wanted to go to Thailand so have made the decision to visit knowing that we may…
I'm planning a solo travel to Koh Kood (Kut) in december for 8-10 days after a roundtrip in Laos. Does anybody know about local transportion options except hiring a motorbike? Songthaews to the beaches, villages, etc? Or is it ok walking 1-3 km on the roads? Couple of km walking is pretty ok for me just don't know the road/safety conditions.
Thanks in advance
My girlfriend and I are planning a 6 week trip to Thailand in the month of February 2018. Just wanted to see if anyone had anything to add or any ideas on my itinerary.
Also we are bringing $3000 CAD, not including flights. Is that enough? I originally planned on $100 a day when we were planning to come for only 4 weeks but feel 6 weeks is less rushed.
We will be arriving in Bangkok and stay 3 days.
1-2 days Ayutthaya
1 day Lopburi
Overnight bus to Chaing Mai
4 days Chaing Mai
4 days Pai

My family (2 adults 2 children ages 9 & 7) are planning a holiday to islands out of Phuket in July for one week.
We really like the look of Koh Lanta and Koh Lipe but are undecided.
My wife and I have been to Thailand before but it has been quite some time. We are looking for an area and accommodation that is near a good beach for swimming in all tides, near great Thai restaurants, easily accessible from Phuket as that will be where we fly in to, and hopefully fairly dry as we do realise it…
