Set in the woods near Doi Suthep, this restaurant draws in Thais and foreigners alike for the Thai food and the spectacular views over twinkly Chiang Mai. To truly eat like a Thai you should order a centrepiece of grilled fish adorned with smaller Northern Thai curries and salads. Entry is via the rear gate to Chiang Mai Zoo.

    Dangerous Owner

    sixfeetsmall70 does not recommend this,

    I booked a table for myself and friends for my going away party. I have eaten here several times. When we arrived the music was very loud in the car park. When we went to our table it was even louder. I asked the owner if he could please lower the volume. He was very very drunk and began a belligerent rant about "where you from"..........after a few more insults and yelling at me he followed me to the table and said ....."you only have 10 people....if you dont like then fuck you and you leave".....We started walking out the door and he tried to block us and then followed us to the car park continuing with his ranting and shoving me. He kept yelling "Where you from....... "and cursing in Thai. When we got to our car he pulled out a gun and started threaten me and my guest....He would not let us leave and started kicking my car. I took 10 minutes of yelling and cursing and gun waving before he allowed us to leave. I called the Tourist Police and they did nothing.
