Lonely Planet review
A discreet entrance behind a cream-coloured facade reveals a calm haven of teak pavilions and water features at this upscale hotel in the heart of the old city. It's a bit more business-like than some of the competition, but still a thoroughly relaxing place to stay, and good for first-timers who want a bit of a buffer between their room and the noise outside.
The 24-hour checkout policy (you leave at the same time you arrived) is handy for late departures.
Our independent authors have visited U Chiang Mai and selected this as one of our recommended hotels in Chiang Mai.
