Lonely Planet review for Pub

In an old Tudor-style cottage set well off the road, this venerable Chiang Mai institution semi-successfully calls up the atmosphere of an English country pub. The Friday-evening happy hour assembles all the old expats who claim to have arrived in the city on the back of elephants. Ice-cold Tiger beer on tap. It's a couple of hundred metres past Th Nimmanhaemin on the west side of Th Huay Kaew.

Great place for a pint, plate, or program from back home.

    wandering_tubador recommends this,

Great farang-run compound with a pub, a garden terrace, bungalows, and a travel service. Can be counted on for British and American sports, a good British breakfast, lunch, or dinner at a not-too inflated price, and above-board dealings without double-standards and the farang surcharge. Accommodation-wise, expect backpacker service at four-star prices--no service or maintenance on the bungalow or warm welcome unless you're a longtime regular in the pub.
