Itinerary

Day 1 Join Bangkok, afternoon city tour
If you are arriving in Bangkok today you will be met at the airport and transferred to the hotel. In the afternoon, board a private ‘long tail’ boat and explore the fascinating ‘klongs’ (canals) of Thonburi that characterize this vibrant city. This tributary of the Chao Phraya River is alive with local life, stilted houses and little known temples. We finish our boat ride at the magnificent Wat Po. Founded in the 17th century this magnificent temple is older than the city itself and home to the magnificent golden reclining Buddha. This evening, should you wish, there are some stunning dinner options that we recommend (at your own expense) at either: Vertigo and Moon Bar: Enjoy alfresco barbeque seafood and steak dining at the spectacular roof top restaurant and bar with breathtaking views across the city. A truly sophisticated and stylish experience not to be missed. The Deck: A delightful riverside dining experience, you will love the views directly across the Chao Phraya River to the majestic Wat Arun temple, beautifully lit at night. Mixed Thai and Western cuisine. Please advise your reservations consultant should you wish to dine at either of these restaurants so we can make a reservation for you. Overnight: Furama Xclusive Sathorn hotel.
Day 2 Bangkok markets and sightseeing
After breakfast at your hotel your guide will meet you and we will transfer to “Samyan Market” for a fresh market experience. As you stroll through the market, you will meet locals on their morning shopping jaunts, learn about the ingredients used in Thai cooking and sample some tropical fruits. Continue to “Century Year Old - Nanglerng Food Market” it was one of the most important markets in inner Bangkok a hundred years ago when this area of the city was flourishing. Back then, the market was a major trade centre for all the various communities living in the city. It now offers a lot of historical insights in terms of both the food and the architecture - you will see a lot of old-style wooden shop houses in the neighborhood and please your palate with local sweet and delicacies. A short ride takes you to a small but famous local restaurant near Bangkok City Hall to enjoy an authentic Thai lunch. Wrap up the meal with sarim, a popular Thai dessert made of colourful thin vermicelli served in flavourful coconut milk. After this tasty morning out in Bangkok, your guide will take you back to the hotel in the early afternoon. Overnight: Furama Xclusive Sathorn hotel.
Day 3 In Bangkok, trip concludes
Morning free at leisure before departure transfer to the airport, where trip concludes.
