Soi 38 Night Market
Good for: Great food/drink b4 Ekamai bus
Lonely Planet review for Soi 38 Night Market
It’s not the best street food in town by a long shot, but after a hard night of clubbing on Sukhumvit, you can be forgiven for believing so. If you’re going sober, stick to the knot of ‘famous’ vendors tucked into an alley on the right-hand side as you enter the street; the flame-fried pàt tai and herbal fish ball noodles are musts.

perfect for Ekamai night bus trips....
zephbkk recommends this,
I'd been hunting for somewhere nice (and affordable) to eat and drink beer while killing time waiting for the last night bus to Trat when I came across this. It's walkable from Ekamai and just the place to feed up and sink some beers before falling asleep on the night bus to Trat/Chantaburi if you're on a visa run to Cambodia or visiting Koh Chang (why waste a day travelling?!?). Great food, value and people watching.... I must recommend the Som Tam Kai Kem with Nam Tok Kor Moo Yang (Papaya salad with salted egg and tangy barbecued pigs neck) It was exactly what I was looking for...........Enjoy!
