MBK Food Court

Our feet were sore and tired after the non-stop shopping at MBK, but to our dismay, most of the restaurants were crowded.Therefore we dragged our heavy feet to the only place where we could find seats and in the end, we ended up in the MBK Food Court (Fifth Food Avenue) . We were given a card upon entering the food court and throughout the time we were in the food court, there was no cash transaction involved when we ordered our food. We just had to give our card to the vendors and they'll credit our orders to the card. We only had to pay for all our orders after we finish our food and when we leave the food court. 

Taking a look around, there's a large selection of food available ranging from Chicken Rice, to Japanese sushi, to Indian Prata and of course, not forgetting Thai food. We ordered a set of Thai food and it came with a Tom Yam fried rice, soup and some side dishes. Yes, I know... fried rice sounds boring, but that was the dish that was really unforgettable. 
 Till now, I still can't forget the taste and I'll definitely go back to eat it again the next time I go Bangkok. After putting a spoonful of the fried rice in your mouth, you'll be able to taste the exquisite combination of the Tom Yam spices which compliments perfectly with the rice. Once you start, you'll just keep wanting for more of it! So if you ever visit the food court, you got to give the fried rice a try.

The atmosphere is not that bad compared to the normal food court and it is also less crowded. I guess that accounts for the more expensive price of the food. Overall, the service is not bad too. 

Excellent place if you get hungry during a shopping spree in MBK.  There are so many cuisines to select from (Thai, Japanese, Vietnamese, Indian, Western, ect)  Prices are rather higher than normal food courts though.

Here experience a taste of the world, from Thai food to Vietnamese, Italian,Australian/American.  MBK Food Court offers a great variety of quality meals, whether you are after a snack or a full feed.  
On entering, a plastic card is handed to you, you then choose from the 9-12 outlets and hand over the plastic card, the cost is added to the card and on exiting hand back the card and the totals are then paid for.  This is fantastic is your partner does not want the same type of food as yourself as they have their own card, no more making sure each of you have enough money and the retailers aren't cooking your meal and handling money.
Each store offers a range of dishes and are all made to order.  Waitresses and waiters are on hand to help you bring your food back to your table.  The well stocked bar is perfect to accompany your meal.
Toilets are located within the food court and are free of charge not like the others in MBK which are 2 baht per person.
The MBK food court is all you need after a long day shopping or just to escape the humidity of the day.
