Smack in the centre of Taipei's government district, the Sheraton is the height of luxury. If you're hoping to run into ambassadors and trade ministers, this is the place to be. The hotel offers a number of excellent restaurants, a great gym and beautifully decorated rooms fit for diplomats. But be prepared to pay; in Taiwan, neither luxury nor diplomacy is cheap.
