We are a family of 4 traveling for 6 weeks to Asia. My boys (6 and 8) have never been and I was wondering where is the best place to introduce them for the first week - North Thailand (BKK and Chiang Mai) or Bali(or other suggestions!)? I'm torn because we will be landing in HK and BKK is closer(flying standby so I haven't got tickets yet)and less flight time for the kids - but Thailand is in rainy season right?
I've heard Bali has better weather in July and is a lot packed into a small chilled…
Hi I'm Racheal and I'm 24. I will be flying out to Bangkok on 1st August until 21st of August and would love to meet up with people to travel with. I have 3 internal flights booked to help me see as much of Thailand as possible but may cancel these depending on what others are doing. Hate the thought of going alone. Down to earth, bubbly girl looking to have a BLAST!
I am heading to Thailand in a few weeks and wanted the most up to date recommendations for places to stay on a budget. I will be traveling to Bangkok, Ko Pha Ngan, and Chiang Mai. If you've been to Thailand in the last year and have had great experiencesor places to avoid I would really appreciate it! I am trying to spend no more than $25US a night or 875Baht. Also, do cheap bungalows come with mosquito nets or do I need to pick one up? I have a list from the lonely planet 2014 book…
I'm heading to Thailand on Boxing Day from London for 4 weeks. All I know is that I'm flying to Bangkok and flying back from Phuket. I'll be at Kho Panghan for NYE and also probably for the full moon party. In between then I want to head up to Chiang Mai as well as check out other Islands. Anyone going to be around then? Interested in meeting like minded peeps on here as well as meeting when out and about in Thailand!
Hi, heading to Thailand on Xmas day. Am thinking of heading straight to Koh Tarutao to chill out, as that sounds like my kind of place. I love nature, but I had an unfortunate incident elsewhere with sand fleas many many years ago that still plagues my memory, and I hear they have a problem with them on the island - so it's definitely putting me off, which is annoying!. I will, for sure, want to sunbathe for a few days....:( Does anyone know if Adang also has this problem also?
I spent alot of…
So I think this is it, we're going on a 3 week honeymoon from Aug. 5-27, we want a bit of everything from beach relaxation to wild parties to temples to jungles to markets to motor biking. This is not my first time in Thailand, but I haven't been to the Andaman coast before. Anyways what do you think:
Bangkok (2nights) ---> ChiangMai (2nights) ---> Pai (2nights) ---> Krabi (2nights) ---> Koh PhiPhi (3 nights) ---> Koh Samui (3nights) ---> Koh Tao (3 nights) ---> Kanachanaburi/Erawan Falls (1…
Just turned up in Kanchanaburi today. Wondering if there are any atm's here that don't charge a fee! My bank at home doesn't charge a fee for me using one but they say that it's the discretion of the atm provider - which is quite a few of them in Thailand! If anybody is about here perhaps I'll bump into you! Thanks for your help people.
