The ferry King Cruiser lies only 12m below the surface and is visited by dive outfits from both Ko Phi-Phi and Phuket. Phi-Phi's dive shops are all involved in price collusion: an open-water certification course costs ฿11,900 , while the standard two-dive trips cost ฿2200 , or ฿3200 if you want to visit the King Cruiser shipwreck.

The combination of perfectly clear Andaman waters and abundant coral means that Ko Phi-Phi is home to some world-class dive sites. Dozens upon dozens of dive shops compete for your business, most of them up and running again after the 2004 disaster and touting dive trips and Open Water courses.
