Two three-storey wings fan out in a wide 'V' shape towards a lovely white-sand beach. All rates include a sumptuous breakfast buffet at The Cove Terrace, and for other meals you can choose between Just Thai and Sassi Italian, stacked one above the other off the huge, open-air lobby.
Lotus ponds, immaculate landscaping and arguably the most beautiful resort swimming pool on the island are some of the touches that make the Amari welcoming despite its relatively gargantuan proportions (165 rooms). Well-selected Thai art - including an impressive white-stone sculpture at one end of the 50m lap pool of an Ayuthaya-era warrior prostrating towards the sea - further enhances the ambience. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and attractive, with teakwood floors and huge bathrooms. Bangkok newspapers, fruit plates and fresh flowers are delivered to rooms daily. The resort's Sivara Spa, easily the most beautiful and well-equipped spa on the island, offers a wide range of treatments based on traditional Thai bodywork and herbal therapies.
