Lonely Planet review

The Treehouse is a lovely B&B-style place that’s ideal for anyone who wants to get insights into local life, and for socially conscious travellers. Besides spotless, comfortable rooms – a large double with a bathtub, a smaller double with a shower, and a single sharing facilities – there’s a balcony with breezes and views of the lake in the distance, plus a family banda (thatched-roof hut or shelter; also with views towards the lake), and an internet connection point in the evenings. It’s in the Isamilo area about 2km northeast of town and Tsh2000 in a taxi.
