1 - I have the lens nikkor 15-125 mm . Is it good to take to a safari?
2 - In Zanzibar I want to go to Stone Town and to somewhere to see the sea life . Do you know any trip to see the sea life? Can I buy it there? How much it costs? Can I book it in my hotel in Kiwengwa? How to go to Stone Town from Kiwengwa? What places of interest I have in Kiwengwa?
We are having 5 days of safari in the middle of June.
Because of schedule issues, we ended up having 3 days in Arusha area before the safari starts.
We are interested in a cultural experience. We thought maybe should travel around Arusha area and see some of the tribes' villages but we don't know how to do it and we think that one day or two should be more than enough for that.
Does anybody can recommend about nice and inexpensive ways to spend 3 days in Arusha area?
Hi there, we are still undecided on whether to climb Mt Kili via the Rongai route or the Lemosho route. Rongai really appeals to us as it is much less traveled and we would be getting away from the crowds but it sounds like it is the least scenic route. All the photos I have googled show the trail passing through bare mountain and no forest at all. The Lemosho route on the other hand looks like it goes through some stunning forest. But I worry that it joins up with the Machame route a few days…
I was given this quote and itinerary for an 8 day safari in late June.
Everything seems ok to me but 2 things sort of throw me off.
Is it normal for them to quote "or similar" after stating the name of a lodge that you will stay?
Also the Serengeti portion- it says that it will only being doing South Serengeti, is this a good part of the park for middle of June or are they just cheaping out costs by not going deeper inside?
Thanks a bunch!
PRICE PER PERSON $1980
I and my husband are planning for a Tanzania trip during December- Christmas week. Seeking suggestions on how can we plan a week long trip there? Main preferences are to cover:

The main issue is that we cant spend much on the safari...looking for a three day, a very low budget one. any suggestions or any safari operators via which we can book.
We are open to visiting other national parks if not Serengeti (also the great migration season wont be…
Hello, I'm traveling to Tanzania next week and am planning a 3 day camping safari to Ngorongoro and Tarangire. I have an itinerary with a recommended company but the friend I was going with has just dropped out - is anybody interested in joining me and sharing costs? It would be about 675 dollars including accommodation (at campsites), food and all transport/park fees.
I'm pretty relaxed and easy to get on with - my main objective on the trip is to wake up on the edge of the crater and see some…
I am interested in doing a day trip from Kigoma to Gombe in June. How many hours of hiking does it usually take to see the chimpanzees? Is the hike steep? Has anyone ever gone out on a day trip and NOT seen the chimpanzees?
Many thanks in advance!
Hi all, me and my Papa will be traveling to Tanzania in December to hike up Mt Kili and do a week long safari. I have been doing lots of research and was wondering if anyone could give me their opinion on two TOs that I've narrowed it down to:
Kilimanjaro Heroes Adventures
Also, we are still undecided between the Lemosho and Rongai routes up Mt Kili, any insight/suggestions would be appreciated. We are hoping to get away from the crowds and have a more wilderness experience but still…
I am looking at a couple itineraries and not sure what would be better: Extra day to rest and hydrate before climb or extra day on the mountain?
First: Arrive Late August 22nd/Early 23rd (depending on flight) then spend full day before beginning 6 day Machame Route
Second: Arrive Late August 22nd then next morning begin 7 day Machame Route (extra day from Borranco Camp to Karanga Camp elevations 13,000 to 13,100).
