Tasty Western treat when you suffer ugali overdose!

When I returned to Arusha in November I was distressed to see McMoody's white painted emptiness staring me down. White painted windows usually signifies the signature of a business' death certificate. However, on this occasion, all that had happened was that McMoody's had left Arusha's high street and was now relocated to Njiro Complex where the cinema and the restaurants are. What better way to while away an evening than to scoff a McMoody's Meal and go upstairs to sip a drink or two at the not so legendary bar named Brazil that makes you feel that you are anywhere but.

A Very Good Reason to Visit

Ok, so McMoody's specialty is, in fact, nothing special. Burgers and fries are not exactly what one would call a typically Tanzanian meal (although the fries are delicious). But, for those who have been in Tanzania for a while and who may be feeling a slight pang of home-sickness(especially women), it is almost magical to walk in to McMoody's washroom. Not only are you faced with a toilet bowl complete with seat, but the entire facility is squeaky clean, with real soap, hand dryers, and large mirrors. No matter where you are staying in Arusha, when nature calls, the walk to McMoody's is definitely worth it!
