Hi there

Three of us from UK are staying in Dar at the moment, renting a house we found on Air B&B, it's four bedrooms, we're looking to fill the remaining room to keep price down. It's near the Airetel headquarters just 5-10 mins from beaches (including coco beach).

Under a tenner a night. Two of us are willing to share a room so there are potentially two rooms free, both with double beds. Around for about a week. If anyones interested reply to this comment!

Can any one inform us about the road conditions when we’re traveling from Zambia border Mbala (M1) to Isopa (B8)
Sumbawanga - Mpanda Ndogo - Uvinza – Kasulu – Kibondo – Nyakanazi (B3) to border Rwanda (Kibungo district).

And will it be save to travel on our own (2 adults and one dog) ?
Thx so much for any helpfull information. Emmy and Steff, South Africa

Hi All! I'm planning to backpack Tanzania for 14 days in June. I'm starting in Zanzibar and am looking to spend a few days there and then heading back to the mainland for the remainder of my trip. I'm looking to visit a NP and obviously Serengeti is at the top of the list of things to do but everything I'm finding is pretty far out of my budget. What other national parks are good options to visit? Also, traveling around seems to be a pretty popular topic. I don't mind taking a bus places and…

Hey all,

Odd request but I'm a children's book illustrator and my last set of colour pencils is sadly no longer with this world - long story but you can rest assured I'm not seeing them again.

I have a contract job and the delivery times for online supplies is gonna kill me! Anyone know of a shop in Arusha where I can find decent artist quality pencils - and other supplies in general? I'm in Moshi but I've had no luck here so far, but if you have any ideas let me know! I've got a kid's set of…

We're travelling through Tanzania (coming from Zambia) to go to Rwanda.
How are the road conditions from Iringa to Kahama (B3) and
from Kahama to Rwanda border ?
In our road atlas the road from Dodoma to Kahama is dirt road; is this still so ?
How are the road conditions on this road nowadays ?
Is it safe to travel just the 2 of us ?
Emmy from South Africa ?

Hello everyone,

My husband and I (30 yo) are planning a 3 weeks trip to Tanzania in August and we are mainly interested in the Migration. After some search we are still lost where is it better to obersve it: in Serengheti or start in Masai Mara (Kenya) and then Serengheti and Ngorongoro Crater? or would it be enough to do just Serengheti and Ngorongor Crater?

It is also very confusing since there are so many tour Operators and we are on a Budget and looking for authentic experience - sleeping…

Hello all,

I am travelling to Tanzania in August and would like some recommendations of what to do for part of my trip. My plan is as follows:

Safari (Northern circuit) for 6 or 7 days between 15th-21st
Work in Moshi 22nd, 23rd, 24th and possibly 25th - don't know about the last day yet
Fly home on Monday 29th, possibly on the Etihad 13:35 so I can get into London in time for work on Tuesday morning!

So my question is, with the risk that I may have to work on the 25th (arrive in Zanzibar on the…
