Best places to stay in Tanzania

Tanzania has a large selection of accommodation. At the budget level, most shoe-string guesthouses cost about the same and have similar facilities (mosquito nets, fans and usually shared bathrooms and cold-water showers), with prices averaging US$20 to US$25 per person (US$30 with bathroom). It’s often possible to negotiate this down in the low season. Luxury hotels are often much better appointed and tend to be a fair bit cheaper than they might in other places.
