Lonely Planet review
The slick lobby and restaurants, and attentive English speaking staff lead you to expect more from the rooms. But this is still a solid choice on a trendy, central street. Basic single/doubles are small, but for a few hundred more you can upgrade to the considerably better deluxe rooms.
The deluxe rooms are definitely the way to go unless you need to save a few pennies. Rooms are large enough to make you sit up and notice. The comfy beds are snuggled in silk quilts, and the bathrooms feature separate showers and baths. The design is nothing to write home about, but then you won't likely be spending much time in your room except to sleep and clean up. One of the liveliest shopping and eating streets lies just below and its energy (not to mention its restaurants, cafes, 24-hour bookstores and boutique shops), will keep you out exploring for a long time. The MRT is also literally at your doorstep and one of the hubs of the system is just a single stop away at Zhongxiao Fuxing. When you finally return to the hotel do check out the popular Japanese restaurant.
