Getting there & around

Danshui is at the end of the MRT Danshui (red) line. The journey from Taipei Main Station takes about 35 minutes and costs NT50. TheDanshui Motor Transport Company (2621 3340) runs buses along the north coast to Baishawan, Keelung, and points beyond.

If you’re going to Fisherman’s Wharf, take red bus 26 from Danshui MRT station (NT15, 15 minutes). A more interesting option is the 15-minute ferry trip operated by Suen Fung Ferry Company (8630 1845; Danshui Ferry Pier; adult/child NT40/20; 9am-8pm Mon-Fri, 9am-10pm Sat & Sun).
