Getting there & away
There are two Kuo Kuang Hao buses a day from Ilan to Wuling Forest Recreation Area (NT276, three hours, 7am and 12.40pm). From Wuling you can continue south to Lishan and transfer to a bus to Taichung. You could also consider renting a scooter in Jiaoshi, or a car in Ilan through Shang Xin Car Rental (03-935 7777).
