I am thinking of going to Tahiti, Bora Bora next February. I see weather reports for the last week and next where there are thunderstorms every day. Do they last long, affect what you can do or do they come and go, no big deal? I like going south in February but maybe May or October would be better.
So we'll be arriving on a late flight from LA to Tahiti - check into the Intercontinental... then we have a full day in Tahiti b/f Moorea then Bora Bora.
So.... here's the thing - I'm not certain what I should do in my full day in Tahiti. Now would you recommend I change US dollars to cfp?
I want: To shop for some pearls (hoping to get loose pearls for maybe earrings/bracelet or looking around for a pearl necklace). I am also thinking there may be some cultural tour we can do? Maybe…
I will be stay at Intercontinental Tahiti Resort. Is possible to get to Carrefour near the resort on the foot? Are there footpaths? In google maps I see only main road.
Is possible to take the bus? Do you have any timetable?
So - my mother is turning 60 next time. I'm hoping to take her to BB + Moorea as a surprise (but 2 months after her birthday - since her birthday coincides with my dive trip in march... yes bad me - but that makes it even more of a surprise). Our interests: swimming, snorkeling, adventure, boat rides, scenery. I'm 32 and I am in decent shape. My mother will be 60 and she's also is good shape (wouldn't call her a hiker though)
Okay - so here's the deal - I need help - if you have to…
my GF and I will be visiting french polynesia with the BORA BORA-TUAMOTU PASS... we are both expierence divers and are intersted in dive-site recommendations also in local operators that you went diving with...
I have done some research but would of course like to here some first hand storys.
thanks a lot

Planning to bacation with my wife for a week in Tahati, and then plan to stay another quiet two months to heal shoulder cartilage. Looking for economy room or small apt, private bath and wifi...
Will not be there to eat, party, swim, scuba, kayak. Do NOT need access to restaurants, transportation, or social things to do.
Would like to be 1/4 mile or less from a "beach"...although it does not need to be sand.
Also would like recomendations for economy massage, as I will be needing massage 3-5…
