Lonely Planet review
A more congenial place you'll be hard-pressed to find. Viriamu is from Rurutu, his wife Elin is Welsh, and you'll get the best of both worlds. There are three clean, well-swept and uncluttered rooms. They are in the owners' home but offer enough privacy.
It's in a stunning setting in front of a marae and just across the road from one of Rurutu’s best beaches. Gourmet palates, you’re in luck: Elin will treat you with the freshest island ingredients at dinner. Great breakfast, too, with homemade tropical jams. Airport transfers are free. Cash only.
Our independent authors have visited Teautamatea and selected this as one of our recommended accommodation in Rurutu.
