Palmyra’s ‘bus station’ is on the edge of town, some 2km north of the museum (taxi S£25), at the Sahara Café. Buses depart more frequently for Damascus (S£125, three hours) and Deir ez-Zur (S£85, two hours), generally on the hour every hour from sunrise to sunset.
