An-Nasr al-Jedid Hotel

In a beautiful hundred-year-old building with high ceilings, this place has enormous rooms with balconies, decorative windows, and a big common area with a massive picture window looking onto the main-street action below. With a little renovation it could become Homs' backpacker favourite. For now, it's a passable budget place with clean sheets and hot water, although it's a little grubby and the showers are a bit too close to the squat toilets for our liking. It's Homs' best budget hotel.
