Some people think once you get in there you get used to the darkness and that you'll be able to "see a little bit" in there - this is not the case! You can see absolutely nothing in the restaurant - apart from the foyer, where you can choose your meals, pay and put your valuables into lockers.

You will be seated by a blind person and the odds are that you get a table with people you don't know sitting next to you. Very funny indeed. Since you don't see each other you can introduce yourself by describing how you would look if one was able to see you. Contrary to most other restaurants, people in here seem not to have a problem to talk to strangers, just because of the darkness - amazing!

I personally didn't find it very difficult to eat, however, I guess the choice of meals is made in a way that you won't stick your fork in your neighbour's eyes (in case that they're sitting that close, anyway) because you couldn't open your mussels correctly...
The more challenging bit was the drink - I think you alway get a bottle with an empty glass. For safety reasons I got just mineral water and it was even more difficult than usual to know if the glass was half full or half empty. (Hint: Either listen very closely or put one of your fingers into the glass.)

At the time I went there you had to book weeks in advance; I don't know if this is still the case, but I would definitely recommend to make a reservation.
