The Kunstmuseum concentrates on two periods: from 1400 to 1600, and from 1800 to the present day. The medieval collection includes the world’s largest number of Holbein works. The smaller contemporary collection features Picassos and Rodins.

    Amazing classic artworks in a easy-to-view setting

    Sadly, they were out of English audio guides.

    I have heard, though I could not confirm personally, that you can take pictures if there isn't a guard nearby.

    I didn't expect much of this art museum, after all, as an art illiterate, I thouhgt all the great painting are in Paris or London ... and maybe they. Still this museum holds a wide collection of minor (and not so minor) artworks, including many Picasso's.
    I spent a whole summer morning there and when I went back in winter (to see an exhibition about Warhol) I was delighted to find a free ice rink at the hall, so double fun!
