Just south of Barfüsserplatz is the zany Tinguely Fountain, with all sorts of wacky machines spewing and shooting forth water. It is a foretaste of the madcap moving sculptures in the Museum Jean Tinguely.

    a delightful mini wonder of the world

    This piece makes you laugh for a pretty long time. It is so funny and brilliant, that you would thank the sense of humor of the scientist involved. Actually this is a brilliant dynamic assortment of mini machinaries, who move about the square pond in a bizzare animated pattern. As they scurry about, they keep spouting water along the way. So it is a collection of mini-mobile-machine fountains. Anybody visiting Switzerland should make time for this. It takes just about an hour from deboarding at the station, and getting back again. Make time for Tinguely Fun
