Hello everyone.
Assuming an averagely relaxed pace, what is the average driving time of the St Bernards Pass (not the tunnel) from Martigny to Aosta? We will be travelling this road in early June.

Hello there,

My family and I will be traveling for two weeks around the Italian / Swiss lakes in July. We have five days by Lake Lugano, coming from Locarno via Bellinzona on the train and then going on to Lake Como via bus from the North side of the lake. (in other words we will be using public transport) We don't want to stay in Lugano itself, especially as part of our trip coincides with the Jazz Festival, so I'm thinking of staying either in Morcote or Gandria. We want a relaxing holiday of…

We're driving to Switzerland in the summer - a week in Lauterbrunnen and then a week in Brienz. Although we will have our own car with us, we plan to use trains and mountain transport as much as we can while we are there, partly because our kids (age 3 and 6) will love the cable cars, funiculars, chairlifts etc. Most of our daytrips will be quite local to Lauterbrunnen and Brienz. The number of travel passes available is mind-boggling, and we can't work out what will be best value for us. I know…

Hello, I am planning on doing the Tour du Mont Blanc trek on June 21st. If you're experienced in trekking, in shape, and up for an amazing and very scenic trek this is your chance!!! This is supposed to be one of the best treks in the world. I'm planning on hiking for 10 days and camping in tents most of the time. It sounds like a lot but it's actually a pretty leisurely pace for this trail. I'm doing this trek as cost efficiently as possible and the cost of food, campsite fees, etc should cost…

I have a third degree felony from an old car accident in the USA. Finished with probation and never had any other legal problems. I'm traveling to Switzerland for my honeymoon. Someone suggested making sure entry wouldn't be a problem. Has anyone traveled to Switzerland with a felony before and did they have problems? Please no rude comments. I paid my dues, live like a saint now, and want to move forward with my life. Departing out of New York and traveling by plane.

Hello, I would very much appreciate suggestions for 4-5 days of through-hiking (i.e. prefer a continuous trek as opposed to out and back day hikes for 4-5 days; whether that is in huts, mountain inns or what-have-you) for last week of May/first week of June in the Upper Engadine or other recommended place easily accessible from Zurich (also open to far eastern Switzerland/Liechtenstein border). Having a little trouble figuring out how to string together the various day hikes I see recommended…

Hello All!
We are passing through Switzerland, en route to France (please don't say we need more time, I understand that haha, just we literally only have 3-4 days sadly)

We arrive on a Saturday flying into Zurich around 8 AM.

We have our base stay in interlaken ( I realize I would rather stay somewhere else, but this was the cheapest place we could find to stay, whereas other cities were 120$ + for rooms, and we are both in our mid 20s students) unless you have advice for other places that…
