Lonely Planet review
Expect a wonderfully warm welcome at this turn-of-the-20th-century hotel. Many of the high-ceilinged, well-maintained but dated rooms afford glacier views. Its communal dining areas retain their grandeur and there are excellent facilities for those travelling with kids, thanks to no fewer than four playrooms and supervised afternoon fun. Prices are almost halved outside absolute peak season (ie winter weekends), making this a great midrange option.
Our independent authors have visited Hotel Edelweiss and selected this as one of our recommended hotels in Engelberg.
