Blog: Itinerant Londoner - 8 March 2011
You’ve got to love the Swiss. Only they would be crazy enough to build a railway tunnel through one of the highest mountains in Europe just to take you to a lovely view. But I love the fact that they … Continue reading →

Friday Flashback: Winter in Switzerland
Blog: GoBackpacking - 16 July 2010
My week in Switzerland wasn’t cheap, however I managed to save some money by couchsurfing with a friend in Bern, and another person in Geneva. In Interlaken, I stayed at one of Europe’s most popular hostels, Balmer’s, but with snow on the ground, and a chill in the air, the guests were few and the [...]--------- Join Travel Blog Success today and learn to build a better travel blog. Switzerland
Blog: where the wild things are - 10 June 2009
Last night we left Amsterdam and took an 11hour night train to Basel, Switzerland. We arrived this morning at six, which was quite painful. Of course we got off at the wrong station and had to catch another train going to the other Basel station, (they are called Basel SBB and Basel BB. Ohhhhmygod.) and then it was another two hours and one train change to Interlaken. But its SO worth the hassle! Anyone who has been to the Jungfrau Region can understand why its easily one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen!
