With 'bump knees with your neighbour'-style seating (claustrophobics beware), this oft-packed pizza and pasta joint emits a boisterous vibe. Choose from more than 30 different pizzas; the large is big enough for two (unless you're super hungry).

    I've had a lot of very, very delicious dinners in my life, but I have to say, for the the price, this was the best. I'm traveling alone through Europe and I just happened to choose 'Il Grissino' by chance while walking through Bern. What a pleasant surprise! I had a glass of the house [sicilian] wine, a mixed salad, a 4 cheese pizza, and a small portion of their famous Tiramisu plus a scoop of Stracciatella for desert. Wow...it was incredible. All of it. After traveling 2 weeks through Italy, this was the best/equal to the best pizza I've had. And I'm not sure if I can ever eat Tiramisu again without being disappointed. All for 46 CHF. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. Regardless of the 'claustrophobic' atmosphere. It was wunderbar!
