Schwellenmätteli 'Bern's Riveria' announces a sign near these two very classy restaurants on the Aare, and the experience certainly shouldn't be missed. At night, the cool glass cube that is the restaurant Terrasse overlooks an illuminated weir, while Casa behind it enjoys a cosier atmosphere. Both concentrate on Italian/Mediterranean-influenced cuisine, although you can come for just a coffee or drink on the open-air terrace.
