Lonely Planet review

Celebrity chef Matthias Dahlgren has settled in at the Grand Hôtel with a two-sided restaurant: there’s the formal, elegant Matsalen (‘Dining Room’), which has been awarded two Michelin stars, and the more casual Matbaren (‘Food Bar’), boasting a Michelin star of its own. Both sides focus on seasonal ingredients, so menus change daily according to what’s freshest. In the dining room you can choose from two set menus with five or eight courses (wine pairings extra). Reservations are recommended, although it’s possible to drop in at the Food Bar.
