Lonely Planet review for Elverket
Best for a lazy weekend brunch, slick and cosy Elverket sits in an old electricity plant, alongside Kungliga Dramatiska Teatern’s more experimental stage. Here, a mix of Capote-styled intellectuals, gossipy girlfriends and designer dads nurse hangovers over Scandi staples, Asian extras and sinfully good chocolate brownies.

Experience with sparks
calleforsell recommends this,
After the short but nice walk up and down Linnégatan from the subway down at Stockholm's more hectic areas around Stureplan, crossing Östermalm's quiter areas, we finally found this up and coming gem. As we entered, we realized that this could be interesting; the depth of the rectangular premises was split up in one neatly designed bar and lounge area at our right, and the restaurant on the other end with the semi-open kitchen at our far right.
The crowd was already in place, keeping the mood cheerful in the stylish yet comfortable dining area, while the bar/lounge corner was more at a low key stage - so far.
Reasonably priced and delicious meals were served with agility and quality by the waitors.
The grilled angler tuscany style, was a superb choice for our otherwise meatcraving stomachs, which we finished off with a lingonberry Bavaroise with mashed liqourice toppings and the Combo: espresso, calvados, and ice cream.Once we're on our way out, we noticed that the bar/lounge area had turned into a mixed up mingle zone with good music, drinks and good fun. We hung around for a while just to realize that this would be keep going all night long. The DJ was popping at his greatest, the crowd (20-35 years) was fired up, and the early summernight turned out too short. At 3:00 the sun was literally up already, and we indeed felt surprised in a both gastronomic and spiritual way as the night went by.
On our stroll back home we felt like the Elverket (meaning the electricity board) really was a place to charge and discharge your batteries.
