A cute building in a line of cute buildings, this welcoming hotel has individually decorated rooms and a superb Art Nouveau style. It has been updated in the gentlest possible way, mostly preserving the original feel of the place.
Built in 1910 and facing a quiet courtyard, the Esplanade was originally a boarding house. The hotel has been owned by the same family since 1986. Its rooms are stunningly airy and light, yet comfortable as well as practical, with both workspace and sitting areas. Common areas, most notably the gorgeous breakfast room, feature furnishings from NK and beautiful antique stained-glass windows. There's a sauna, cable TV and high-speed Internet throughout.
