We will be spending 1 week in mid-December in Sweden. As there are 4 of us, we plan to self-drive. Our plan is as follow:
Day 1 -Spend a day in Stockholm
Days 2 and 3 -Head to Falun and visit Uppsala on the way - stay in Falun for 2 nights and explore surrounding
Days 4 and 5 -Drive north-west to Salen and stay for 2 nights for skiing
Day 6 - Drive to Orebro and stay 1 night either in Orebro or Vasteras
Day 7 Drive back to Stockholm and spend 1 night there before we leave for home.
We will be in Sweden first week of January, Staying about 2 hours by car north of Stockholm.
We are a group of 5 with a car.
How far North do we need to travel for a trip with Dogs or Reindeer ??
We are taking a Baltic cruise and are stopping in Stockholm from 7AM until 2PM. Not planning to take any ship excursions but instead do a walkabout the city. Any suggestions on what to see in the limited amount of time we are there? Thanks,
The All Blacks play Australia down under in the evening on Saturday 22 October which translates to kick off at 8:35am in Stockholm. Is there any public spot in central Stockholm, a bar or cafe, where it will be possible to view the match on TV?
My husband and I just scored ridiculously cheap tickets to Stockholm (20 euros return on a direct flight from Sofia which NEVER happens). So we're flying in on a Wednesday night and out on a Sunday evening. Time will be late November - so cold!
Now we just need to figure out what to do. I'm starting my research and only just realised (obviously we didn't do much investigation before buying the ticket)that actually the airport (Skavsta) is 100km from Stockholm... so the bus ticket is…
We have approx. 10 days in Sweden in November, is there anything or anywhere that is an absolute 'must see' while we are there?
Open to all suggestions as Sweden is a new one on us!
My Royal Caribbean ship docks in Stockholm at 7 am on a Sunday. I plan to book a 10am Lufthansa flight (the flight goes from Stockholm to Copenhagen and then on to Vancouver Canada). Just wondering if the 10am flight is doable.
When we disembark, do we still need to go through customs before heading out to the airport?
Thanks so much.
I am getting ready for my first ever visit in about a week. I keep reading about how it is more than possible to go cashless in Sweden, and as I am only there for 72 hours it seems doable...EXCEPT: public restrooms. IS it safe to assume one needs coins to use most public restrooms? As I get older, this becomes a more important consideration!
I'm going to be in Sweden for a long weekend early October and I really want the chance to see some nature whilst I'm there. Does anyone know of nice day/weekend trips outside of Gothenburg for hiking?
The first night I'm staying in a cabin close to lake Mjorn, so preferably inland and not on the coast. Then I have two days to explore. I have a car so could drive somewhere to explore an area. Will have tent/camping gear.
Really appreciate any advice! I've looked online but mainly…
I'm going to Stockholm on 22 October - 1 November. But I'll travel places so I need some advices.
First - I'll stay in STHLM for 3 days (22-24 Oct) and might go to Malmö and/or Copenhagen from 25-28 Oct BUT I will have to go to Västerås for the concert on 29th then back to Stockholm until 1 November..
So I need some advices if it's gonna be too tired from places to places? Or just visit Malmö for a few days then go to Västerås? Or Malmö is too far since I'll have to go to…
