We are going to Sweden in July. We would like tour around some parts of Sweden which do not have a lot of immigrants and crime. Are there still some safe parts of the country? If so where would Swedes go during July.
We're planning a trip to London from Malmo, by train and we're just wondering if, in light of recent border checks being re-introduced, there will be any checks until Brussels ?
Would it be the same case by car as well ?
From what I'm reading checks have only been introduced when travelling back to Sweden. Is that correct ?
Okay, so my question is whether or not to spend any time in the Dalsland or to focus most of my time in northern Sweden.
As for the back story, I will be traveling to Scandinavia with my wife for about a month in May through June (May 14 to June 11) and we are looking to spend most of our time in Sweden and Norway for hiking/trekking. We have some light gear but weren't planning on brining a tent so overnight backpacking probably wouldn't be feasible. Right now I am looking at building a rough…
Any suggestions on ways to fairly efficiently get from ARN all the way to my rental apartment in the Gamla Stan about 9:30 p.m. (late evening) with a few bags? I guess you can't drive at night in the Gamla Stan so a taxi or Uber won't work. Thanks.
The subject can sound a bit naive, but there're reason for the question. I'll arrive in Arlanda airport. Two hours later, I must tamust take the train in Arlanda station to Abisko Turistation in Lapland for starting the Kungsladen trail. One time walking, it's going to be difficult to find a bank for exchanging euros to Korunas. Which place do you recommend? If I change a small amount in the airport, as usual. There must be ATM in the railway station.
Hi, I'm travelling this summer with my family to Sweden , we would like to rent a Motorhome for 5 people and all I have seen till now is very expensive. Do you know any local company that rent nice motorhomes at affordable prices? The ideal is to take it in Denmark (Copenhagen Airport) and leave it at Stockholm airport.
having spent short periods of time in Stockholm I have tried to summarise not the museums but the atmosphere of the place. A city to walk around. http://arcticterntalk.org/2016/03/28/reflections-on-24-hours-in-stockholm-and-reasons-to-walk-around-did-i-find-a-blonde-version-of-elisabeth-salander/
I've been searching for a room in Stockholm and they seem to be twice as much in mid May compared to this month. Is there some big event happening in Stockholm in mid May that's driving the prices up? I can't imagine that Stockholm hits the high tourist season until July or so.
