After hiking the Kungsleden, I'll arrive in Stockholm by bus. I've bougth the LP city guide wich has a limited amount of practical information. As a plan B, perhaps I'll need an internet acess, computer included, one time I use to travel without gadgets. I'd like to have an addres with internet acess in case.
Thanks in advance
My family (including two young children 7 &3 years of age) will be going up to either Kiruna or Jukkasjärvi in early December. We were debating about Abisko but think its going to take to long to get there. We only have 4 nights (5 days) in Sweden so want to maximise the time used as we are from Australia and the kids want to see snow and Northern lights (if possible).
Realistically how much time do we need to explore the area in Kiruna or Jukkasjärvi before heading south to Stockholm by air…
In a few week I'll hope to be walking the Kungsleden trail from Abisko. Apart from guide and maps, I like to carry the GPS. Looking for gpx tracks, usually wikiloc is my first stop. Any recommended track for downlad? It would be enough if somebody can say "I flollowed this and no problem".
Thanks in advance.
I have planned a trip to watch the Northern Lights (hopeful!) in mid-December.
Would love some guidance on how to get to Abisko from Stockholm and back.
Also alternatives to watching the Aurora Borealis from Sweden are most welcome!
Thanks in advance.
PS - how much is my lack of Swedish a problem?
I have posted a similar appeal on the Denmark site. My wife and I are flying into Copenhagen in 4 days. We decided at the last minute to rent a car and find a beach town in Northern Denmark or Southwest Sweden for 3 days. 2 to 3 hours drive max. Any suggestions would be helpful. Quiet is better. Thanks.
I wanted to get some advice about day trips in to the Stockholm archipelago. There are so many options, obviously, and it's hard to tell which one is the best place to go! I'm looking for somewhere that has an authentic vibe, rather than uber touristy. I'd love to be able to hike, bike, and possibly swim. I've been looking at Moja, Gallno, Svartso, and Finnhamn as possibilities. I'd appreciate any help!
I'm hiking the Kungsleden from Abisko to Kvikkjokk.
I thought about going through Sarek and climbing one of the mountains, but couldn't find many trails.
Would you recommend it?
Is there a possibly for muddy soil at the end of August?
Do you know of any resources I can use to plan this trip?
My idea is drawn here
I'll be going to the south of sweden during the first two week of August. Traveling there by car and want to camp around.
When I look at campsites in that area, a lot seem like they are large and for families. Does anyone have tips of smaller, more nature campsites in that area? Possible by the beach.
