Vin & Sprithistoriska Museet information
Lonely Planet review
Vin & Sprithistoriska Museet looks at history through a snaps (distilled alcoholic beverage such as vodka or aquavit) glass, exploring the often turbulent relationship between Swedes and their beloved brännvin (aquavit) and punsch, a Swedish alcoholic beverage made with arrack liqueur. It’s in the process of moving to a new building on Djurgården, which will include a gallery for its Absolut Art collection, a cache of some 800 works by the likes of Damien Hirst and Keith Haring. Until the new building opens, the museum is temporarily closed; check online for updates.
