Land

Bus

The bus terminal is at ground level in Knutpunkten. Regional Skånetrafiken buses dominate, but long-distance services are offered by Swebus Express (0200-21 82 18; www.swe busexpress.se), Svenska Buss (0771-67 67 67; www.svenskabuss.se) and Säfflebussen (0771-15 15 15; www.safflebussen.se).

All three companies offer services north to Halmstad and Göteborg (Swebus Express and Säfflebussen services continue to Oslo), and Swebus Express and Svenska Buss operate south to Malmö. Swebus Express and Säfflebussen also run services northeast to Stockholm via Jönköping. Peak fares to Stockholm cost around Skr400 (eight hours), to Göteborg Skr200 (three hours), and to Oslo Skr350 (seven hours).

Train

Underground platforms in Knutpunkten serve both SJ and Pågatågen Kustpilen trains, which depart daily for Stockholm (Skr1081, five hours), Göteborg (Skr280, 2½ to three hours), nearby towns including Lund (Skr72), Malmö (Skr84), Kristianstad (Skr84) and Halmstad (Skr95) as well as Copenhagen and Olso.

Boat

Knutpunkten is the terminal for the frequent Scandlines (18 63 00; www.scandlines.se) car ferry to Helsingør (adult Skr22, car plus nine people Skr300, free with rail passes). Across the inner harbour, Sundsbussarna (21 60 60) has a terminal with a passenger-only ferry to Helsingør every 30 minutes in summer (Skr22, free with rail passes). There's also a frequent HH-Ferries (19 80 00; www.hhferries.se) service to Helsingør (adult Skr22, car plus nine people Skr265, rail passes not valid).

DFDS Seaways (24 10 00; www.dfdsseaways.com) runs a ferry every evening to Oslo (from Skr898) from the Sunds terminal.
