We'll spending our honeymoon in the Nordics in July and are looking for a mix of relax, nature and local culture. Our trip plan includes 7 days in Sweden (+ extra days in Helsinki) and would love suggestions on what to do/see. We're open to any mean of transport and would be arriving from Copenhagen and departing to Oslo. This is the itinerary I've built so far but not sure if we're missing something interesting or making the best of our time:
Day 1: Copenhagen to Malmo (train)
We are planning a week in Stockholm in July - we are considering at least one night in the Archipelago- maybe more - we are foodies who love quaint villages and enjoying the local culture - can anybody advise the best islands and places to stay., eat etc
I'm planning on hiking some of the Kungsleden in July and am trying to book a train there and back from Stockholm. I will take the overnight to Abisko to start. I have 13 days, which is just enough time to get to Kvikkjokk (12 days from Abisko) to exit the trail via bus and catch the train at Vuollerim, but it doesn't leave much margin for error. I was wondering that if I booked a train from Gällivare, where I would meet the train if exiting via bus from Vakkotavare (8 days from Abisko) will I…
I have never used this airport before but have a (slightly inconvenient) stopover there in a couple of weeks - in at 00.20 and out again at 07.55. Not looking forward to what will probably be a sleepless night, to say the least. The lounges all seem to be shut at night.
It's not worth leaving the airport for a hotel... does anyone know of anywhere comfortable on site where I might be able to get some sleep? A normal waiting area chair probably won't do it for me!
Hi. Myself, my wife, daughter (21) and son (18) are staying near Stenungsund in August. Does anyone have any suggestions for things to do and see along the Swedish West Coast. This would include day trips within about an hour and a half's drive. Thanks. Nick.
I am trying to find out if my husband who was born here in the US can get a Swedish passport (Dual Citizenship)since his father is Swedish and holds a Swedish passport.
Thank you for any information.
Hello, I will travel solo (female, 41) in a few weeks from Uppsala to Abisko in the night train. My original plan was to travel with my sister but she has just cancelled and I have several concerns regarding a solo travel.
First, I would like to bring my own dinner with me (sandwich or similar) because I don't want to leave my luggage unattended for dinner. I also am not comfortable with the idea of taking a whole table in the restaurant car and eat alone...
Is is possible to bring your own meal…

Hello, Can anyone tell me about the food options in/around Abisko. So far I found the following:
- Brasserie Fjällköket at the Abisko Mountain Lodge
- Aurora Sky Station dinner
We are not planning to go to the Sky Station so I was wondering whether there are other dining options, including places to buy snack foods, etc. Thanks in advance!
My family and I will be traveling to Sweden for 17 days at the end of June. It’s our first trip to Sweden, and I would greatly appreciate input on our itinerary.
We are two 40-something-year-old adults and one 13-year-old girl from Texas. We will rent a car and don’t wish to over plan, so we can meander a bit and make spontaneous decisions based on what we see. Being from Texas, we are quite used to long trips by car.
Our hopes for this holiday are:
(1) Experience the sites in Gothenburg and…
