I am getting ready for my first ever visit in about a week. I keep reading about how it is more than possible to go cashless in Sweden, and as I am only there for 72 hours it seems doable...EXCEPT: public restrooms. IS it safe to assume one needs coins to use most public restrooms? As I get older, this becomes a more important consideration!
I'm going to be in Sweden for a long weekend early October and I really want the chance to see some nature whilst I'm there. Does anyone know of nice day/weekend trips outside of Gothenburg for hiking?
The first night I'm staying in a cabin close to lake Mjorn, so preferably inland and not on the coast. Then I have two days to explore. I have a car so could drive somewhere to explore an area. Will have tent/camping gear.
Really appreciate any advice! I've looked online but mainly…
I'm going to Stockholm on 22 October - 1 November. But I'll travel places so I need some advices.
First - I'll stay in STHLM for 3 days (22-24 Oct) and might go to Malmö and/or Copenhagen from 25-28 Oct BUT I will have to go to Västerås for the concert on 29th then back to Stockholm until 1 November..
So I need some advices if it's gonna be too tired from places to places? Or just visit Malmö for a few days then go to Västerås? Or Malmö is too far since I'll have to go to…
After hiking the Kungsleden, I'll arrive in Stockholm by bus. I've bougth the LP city guide wich has a limited amount of practical information. As a plan B, perhaps I'll need an internet acess, computer included, one time I use to travel without gadgets. I'd like to have an addres with internet acess in case.
Thanks in advance
My family (including two young children 7 &3 years of age) will be going up to either Kiruna or Jukkasjärvi in early December. We were debating about Abisko but think its going to take to long to get there. We only have 4 nights (5 days) in Sweden so want to maximise the time used as we are from Australia and the kids want to see snow and Northern lights (if possible).
Realistically how much time do we need to explore the area in Kiruna or Jukkasjärvi before heading south to Stockholm by air…
In a few week I'll hope to be walking the Kungsleden trail from Abisko. Apart from guide and maps, I like to carry the GPS. Looking for gpx tracks, usually wikiloc is my first stop. Any recommended track for downlad? It would be enough if somebody can say "I flollowed this and no problem".
Thanks in advance.
I have planned a trip to watch the Northern Lights (hopeful!) in mid-December.
Would love some guidance on how to get to Abisko from Stockholm and back.
Also alternatives to watching the Aurora Borealis from Sweden are most welcome!
Thanks in advance.
PS - how much is my lack of Swedish a problem?
I have posted a similar appeal on the Denmark site. My wife and I are flying into Copenhagen in 4 days. We decided at the last minute to rent a car and find a beach town in Northern Denmark or Southwest Sweden for 3 days. 2 to 3 hours drive max. Any suggestions would be helpful. Quiet is better. Thanks.
