Introducing Friendship Bay

If all the hustle and bustle of the rest of Bequia is getting you down, head over to Friendship Bay, where things are even quieter. Located on the southeast coast of the island, this small settlement is about 1.5 miles from Port Elizabeth.

A rarely crowded crescent of sand, the beach here is a top reason to make the strenuous yet short walk over the spine of the island (or wimp out on a short taxi or bus ride). A dense thicket of palms provides shade and that nicely clichéd tropical look.
