Lonely Planet review

Veering off the main road in the scruffy village of Ottley's, a meandering driveway ends at this immaculately restored vestige of colonial times. The Great House gives way to a sprawling manicured lawn dotted with cottages with antique-filled rooms and, in some cases, private plunge pools. The wonderful jungle trail is also open to nonguests, as is the alfresco Royal Palm restaurant, which is a popular lunch stop on island tours (mains US$14 to US$28).

Our independent authors have visited Ottley’s Plantation Inn and selected this as one of our recommended hotels in Northern St Kitts.
