Just wondering if anyone can guide me on south coast Sri Lanka weather in early March. I gather it should be the dry season until at least of March, but on weather forecasts for Jan/Feb I see a lot of rainy days... Is that a bit of rain in the afternoon, but sunny mornings? Or have there been full days of grey/rain? Thanks for any guidance -- planning an anniversary trip and would be disappointed if every day is a washout!
pls could you give me information how much should I expect for hire car with driver in Sri Lanka for 6 nights (7 days) in historical triangel in the middle of february 2015?
Is possible to arrange the car with driver, including petrol, accomodation with breakfast for us and driver (recomanded from the driver) for flat rate for 6 night/7 days (our plan: Colombo, Pinnawala, Sigiriya, Polonnaruwa, Matale, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Haputale, Udawalawe)? How much does it cost?
We are visiting Sri Lanka for 4 weeks starting in the middle of February. Despite having done lots of reading I can't decide what order to visit places to avoid too much backtracking. We have 2 nights in Negombo booked just to get out bearings then we haven't got anything else booked after that. We are experienced travellers in India, Pakistan, etc so are fairly familiar with just getting on buses and trains but for some reason (probably very stressful personal circumstances over the last few…
Me and my partner have recently taken up diving, we've done our advanced open water and are looking at doing some diving in Sri Lanka at the end of April/beginning of May. I was wondering if anyone has any general advice on where is recommended taking into account the season, and if there are any reputable companies we should go through?
Another question is, do you think it is worth booking accommodation and transport in advance, or is it one of those countries where you can just rock…
We have got Last few days in Sri Lanka - very tired after travels and want to rest on one of The beaches on west coast as is too far To go to South . Can Anyone recommend what is better ? Negombo or hikkaduwa ? Or others ? We heard that hikkaduwa and waduwa are not very nice - is that true ? I will be grateful for advice we need to decide today
My husband and I will be in Sri Lanka for twelve days in April. We will probably be moving around quite a bit. We are still debating about renting a car from the airport (our general preference when we travel as we like to be spontaneous and explore areas), hiring a driver, or taking trains and local taxis. Any thoughts?
I'm going to Sri Lanka in April with my husband and toddler for the honeymoon we never had. We have three weeks. We want to do a combo of luxe relax time and down to earth meet the locals time. Our main constraint is we want to find accommodation where our toddler can sleep in a separate room from us. Otherwise we pretty much have to sit in silence in a dark room from 8pm every night...not much of a trip. A beach cabin with two rooms would be great, or a room with a verandah.
