Northern Spain - Easter 2015

We are travelling from the UK to northern Spain by ferry next Easter and will be staying near Santander. We hope to visit Bilbao, the Altamira museum and the other caves which are are open to the public.

I've got a few questions:

We've visited Spain at Easter before, but only to the south, where there are lots of events for Semana Santa. I get the impression that it's not the case in northern Spain. Is that right?

We enjoy travelling on trains and our nearest station will be Cabazon de…

Seville-Jerez-Sevilla in 1 day - transport options?

Hi,
we will be in Seville for about 4 nights in late june. We want to do a day trip to Jerez to see the horseshow at 12pm and have lunch in Jerez, then back to Seville. We wonder if its a pain to go by public transport or if its more convenient to hire a car for the day. Is it a long way to get to bus-stops or train-stations at each end? The "bible" hasn`t arrived yet ;-)

Thanks for any suggestions!

ALSA online purchase with foreign credit card

Has anyone successfully purchased a bus ticket on ALSA's website recently with a non-Spanish issued VISA card (US specifically)? I just tried but it was rejected saying my bank denied the transaction although I'm pretty sure that's not the case as I've been using this card overseas for many months now.

Yes, I know I can use PayPal but I'd rather not if avoidable.

Cheers.

SPAIN..best way to see a live Football match???

I will be in Spain in September 2015 and I would love to see a live football match. It does not have to be the large leagues like Real Madrid or FC Barcelona but it can be other Spanish leagues as well. Is there a resource that offers all game schedule information, etc?

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks.

bilbao, san sebastian, zaragoza, barcelona in december

Since we will be traveling in winter, I would like your recommendation on some interesting places that will suit with the weather and the interests of two people 50-60 years old and two people 24-28 years old spending vacation together after 6 months being in different countries! Thanks! We are open to modern and historical places, as well as to nature!

Andalucia

Hello, We plan to be in Andalucía in February. Our only bookings so far are two days in Cadiz for the carnival, and two days in Gibraltar. Then we would like to centre ourselves in some lovely village from where we can go walking or take day trips by bus. My questions are: Can someone recommend a good place to chose as our spot to settle for a week or so? And is this a good plan, considering the weather in February?
Thank you, Gramme

Andalusia for 5 weeks in March/April with kids

Hello everyone,

I've posted here recently but would like some advice about an approximate itinerary. Mostly I'd like feedback from people experienced in these areas for how easy it would be to get from one place to another, whether on train or if a car is better so we could visit countryside and harder to access places. As well, if there's a better order in which to do the itinerary, knowing our plane arrives in Malaga and I was trying to visit inland in March and keep the coast and beach time…

Andalucía: 10 day Road trip over Xmas

20-30 Dec, renting an estate car in Malaga & planning to sleep in it or stealth camp in a hammock in remoter areas. Main objectives: national parks, hiking, biking, via ferrata. Don’t want to spend much time in big towns; I did a lot of road trips around Spain in the late 80s, but will probably visit a few that I missed and then I’ll stay in hostels: Antequera (also for Torcal & Caminito del Rey – if it’s still possible) & Ronda are on my list. Heading SW, after that, taking the most…
