Mercado de San Agustín
For fresh fruit and veg, and a general feast for the eyes, head for the large, covered market a block west of the cathedral. As a bonus, herb and spice stalls are set up along the Calle Cárcel Baja side of the cathedral, dealing medicinal and culinary herbs out of bulging sacks. (It goes without saying, though, that the stuff labelled ‘saffron’ is nothing of the sort.)
