I am in Madrid right now and scheduled to leave by end of day Thursday (30th). What is the closest I can get to a bullfight experience? I understand scheduled fights occur every Sunday only, but are there smaller fights off-venue? Is Las Ventas worthwhile visiting on a non-fight day?
My partner and I want to hire a van sized camper van to travel the coast from San Sebastian all the way down to Portugal in September 2015.
I was wondering is this the best way to see the coast line (he is a madd keen surfer) or should we just hire a car and stay in accommodation?
We're not sure where would be the best place to hire the van from and drop it off and we also want to see Barcelona and Madrid but are willing just to jump on train either before or after the coast line.…
I am planning a honeymoon trip in Feb 2015, preferably for 7-9 nights in Spain. My budget consideration is EUR 2500, excluding the international flights from India but including the local transportation as well as sightseeing, hotel, food etc. etc.
I understand that it will be cold and somewhat wet during that time but since we like the cold weather getaway from Asia this is not a major concern for us.
is it possible to do a Spain trip, maybe 2-3 cities, within this…
Hi, we are going for a weekend to Madrid flying in on Friday afternoon , arriving in the evening and flying out on Sunday evening - we are staying at the Emperador Hotel on Gran Via. We have been to Madrid 4 or 5 times before - normally we mainly spend days at the Prado and the Reina Sofia and never see much of Madrid itself as we never have any time over; we are at least going to take in the Prado again but will probably skip Reina Sofia and take in the Thyssen Bornemisza (which we have…
Hola everyone! I'm going to be in Seville with my family from the 30th Oct, a one member of my family is veggie, can anyone recommend a good vegetarian restaurant in Seville? I am aware some tapas is not all meat based, just be great to also visit a restaurant with good veggie options.
Muchas gracias! :)
this year (2014) in September I decided to take one week off and travel Asturias by car on my own.
I flew in to Bilbao, hired a car..and off I went.
Asturias is lovely and charming due to its squeezed location between sea and mountains.
I stopped in Santander (which is still Cantabrias) but I highly recommend it. It's a beautiful coastal city.
The Camino the Santiago passes through the country and I walked for a couple of hours on its the coastal path - my goal war the Bufones de Arenillas…
Hi, I am from California and I am slowly planning a 10-day family trip to Spain and Morocco for either July or October 2015 (when my kids have time off from school). For those of you who are experienced travelers in this region, do you think it would be reasonable to start in Barcelona, then visit Granada, Tangier, and return to Barcelona to fly back to the U.S. all in 10 days? We will be using public transport throughout. How time consuming will it be to get between those 3 cities? Thanks…
My friend and I are planning a girls getaway to Spain for 8 days over the holidays. We land in Madrid on Christmas day and leave the day after New Years. We are planning on covering Madrid, Seville, Cordoba, Granada and Toledo. Is this too lofty a goal for 8 days when things will be closed on Christmas, New Years and that Monday? We were thinking 3 days Madrid, 1 day Toledo, 3 days Seville with one day trip to Cordoba, 1 and 1/2 days in Granada (on the way back to Madrid). Please let me know…
